Pet Food City has been a trusted name in the industry for over 25 years. It is the creation of Braam van der Westhuizen, an entrepreneur who identified a need and started it all. What began as a humble venture with the first bakkie, has now evolved and grown into a distribution company focused on more than just pet food products with multiple delivery vehicles..
With its roots firmly planted in the industry, PFC Distribution has grown to become a versatile distribution business, capable of handling various product categories, earning a solid reputation for excellence and reliability.

Our Core Focus
is on providing efficient and reliable distribution services for pet food products at competitive prices. We specialize in serving leading brands such as AVI Products, Liebe, Martin & Martin and other esteemed partners in the industry. However, we are not limited to only pet food product distribution, we also distribute a variety of products from household items to FMCG products, even vehicle parts.
E-Commerce Expertise:
In today’s digital age, we understand the importance of catering to the evolving needs of our clients. That’s why we offer specialized services for online retailers, including Takealot deliveries, and soon to be newcomer, Amazon for our customers that are business to business.
Fleet Management:
Our fleet of vehicles are equipped to handle the unique requirements of pet food distribution. With a range of trucks & bakkies of varying capacities. PFC Distribution is a niche business, which makes us agile and capable of responding to urgent requests quickly. We cover an average of 5000 km per week in the Western Cape, and deliver up to 20 tons of goods on a daily basis. Our vehicles are all equipped with tracking systems to provide real-time visibility, security and accountability throughout the delivery process, always keeping our clients up to speed on their deliveries.
Warehouse Stock Management:
At PFC Distribution, we understand the importance of efficient stock management for our clients, and have a proud history of impeccable stock management. Our warehouse facilities are equipped with advanced stock management systems to ensure accurate inventory control and keeping track of item expiration dates that have a shelf life for timely replenishment or replacement if needed. PFC Distribution understands the importance of stock rotation, careful stock handling, high value stock and having processes in place for checks, to ensure no stock leaves our premises if it hasn’t been booked out.
